Description brian tarricone 2003-10-28 22:23:01 UTC
just synced this afternoon and tried to do a world update (i'm using experimental ~x86). dev-db/mysql-4.0.16 fails during configure with:

checking "LinuxThreads"... "Not found"
configure: error: This is a linux system and Linuxthreads was not
found. On linux Linuxthreads should be used. Please install Linuxthreads
(or a new glibc) and try again. See the Installation chapter in the
Reference Manual for more information.

!!! ERROR: dev-db/mysql-4.0.16 failed.
!!! Function econf, Line 338, Exitcode 1
!!! econf failed

examining config.log doesn't seem to yield anything useful. could this have anything to do with my enabling the 'nptl' USE flag? glibc was apparently one of the updates performed before mysql (/lib/libc-2.3.2.so has an mtime of Oct 28, after i added the USE flag), so it appears that i do indeed have an nptl-enabled libc.
