This would depend on bug 312547 (that looks like circular to me) From my point of view, would be nice to provide a list to stabilize all in the same bug report Thanks a lot It can be stabilized now as we've dropped the ree18 ruby target from this particular version. Pacho: yes, this is a circular dependency. Unfortunately there isn't that much we can do about it. The situation is also not helped by stabilizing ebuilds on the new ruby-ng eclass which forces other dependencies to also use these eclasses. I'm sorry that this is a bit rough going. Stable for HPPA. amd64 stable x86 stable Stable on alpha. Note that you might want to add something like test? ( dev-ruby/rake) to USE, because otherwies tests will fail if rake isn't installed. It should have that already... (In reply to comment #7) > It should have that already... Yeah, I figured it out. In order to not run all the test suites for all deps when compiling, I usually split the run: --onlydeps without USE=test and then --nodeps with USE=test. Obviously, this breaks in cases like this one. Not using --nodeps on the last run doesn't excatly thrill me since some test suites take ages on slower hardware and the gain is close to zero. So I guess I'll just have to keep it in mind. Sorry for the noise. Heh, about half the Ruby packages in tree will have the same problem them as most of them use rake at test time, and not just that ;) ia64/sparc stable ppc done ppc64 done; closing as last arch |
