Do any of the kernel ebuilds do this? if so THAT would be the bug mainly because the symlink would be moved to the new kernel before it is installed, causing immesurable problems. I know mm-sources and development-sources don't. the eclass will set the /usr/src/linux link if it isn't already set, other than that the ebuilds shouldn't be changing the /usr/src/linux symlink |
