Sorry, this was assigned to the wrong place. We have recently stabilized 2.6.32-r9 on x86. Do you want to try it and see if you get the same problem. Created attachment 240277 [details]

I've upgraded to the new kernel 2.6.32-hardened-r9, but the problem keeps the same.
Its hard for me to get a handle on this one and I don't have this hardware. Can I ask the reporter to try two things: 1) sending acpi=off as a kernel parameter, and 2) try vanilla-2.6.32.16 with the same config. Try both independently and together. Let's see if we can figure out whether this is a hardened issue and/or an acpi issue. Thank's for the reply. I will follow your two suggestions and see, if the system continues to freeze. A third option would be to flash the BIOS. Although the mainboard is still shiny, there are a couple of updates available for the D510MO Mainboard (see http://downloadmirror.intel.com/19278/eng/MO_0311_ReleaseNotes.pdf) (In reply to comment #8) > Thank's for the reply. > I will follow your two suggestions and see, if the system continues to freeze. > A third option would be to flash the BIOS. Using the vanilla-sources results in the same error. After upgrading the BIOS to its newest version, it seems that the error passed away. I can't say for sure that this solved the problem (because the error occured not very often) (In reply to comment #10) > Using the vanilla-sources results in the same error. > After upgrading the BIOS to its newest version, it seems that the error passed > away. > I can't say for sure that this solved the problem (because the error occured > not very often) > Thanks for the update. It doens't sound like this is a problem we need to pursue at our end so I'm closing this bug. |
