Running spim or xspim version 7.3 causes it to hang immediately after startup.

Upgrading to version 7.4 or 8.0 solves this issue for me.

This may be related to http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=369533 but is fixed there by upstream version 7.3.

Please consider stabilizing version 7.4 and therefore making this bug obsolete.
