(In reply to comment #2) > /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.4.3/../../../../x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -lpng12 Run revdep-rebuild. I WAS running revdep-rebuild. That's when the error occurs. This all happened because libpng had gotten upgraded earlier. Now that revdep-rebuild finds that pygtk's dependency on libpng is broken, it tries to rebuild it, and it fails. Sorry I didn't mention this earlier, but I wasn't sure what was relevant. I just assumed pygtk was broken. Reinstall gnome-base/libglade. Same problem here. Rebuilding libglade. (In reply to comment #6) > Same problem here. Rebuilding libglade. > And it helped. I distinctly remember some other compilation bug I stumbled upon which was utlimately resolved by rebuilding libglade. Duping *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 319101 *** |
