Description tony den haan 2010-05-03 14:20:27 UTC
openoffice no longer manages to save files to nfs mounts, and when opening a file it claims file locked for editing by unknown user.
A solution was suggested on http://pts.szit.bme.hu/solution_to_openoffice_nfs_locking.html but that doesn't seem to work for me.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open a document on an NFS share
2.
3.

Actual Results:
"document file is locked for editing by unknown user"

Expected Results:
a sensible message, but rather not having this issue at all

I resolve this bug as duplicate of bug 113179. I don't know if it was fixed in 3.x versions and you're reporting a regression here. If you still think that this is something specific to gentoo and not upstream's, reopen, but submit *more* information (emerge --info; emerge -pv openoffice; emerge -pv openoffice-bin).
