During dev-python/reportlab-2.4 compile stage, as well as during the install stage, the build system tries do download something. It shouldn't, as all required files should be downloaded at the fetch stage.

Also, the "genuserguide.py" fails to build the PDF. (probably this should be a separate bug)

 TypeError: __init__() got an unexpected keyword argument 'alpha'


I'm attaching my build log file. Note that I pressed Ctrl+C during the install stage to abort it (right when I noticed it was trying to download something).

Please give some more attention to this bug, since reportlab-2.4 has been just stabilized (as per bug 306339).

This small patch solves this bug (and probably the ancient bug 183401 too).

Note, however, that the userguide (reportlab-userguide.pdf) still fails to build (I've just reported as bug 321397).
