1.2.5? Try 1.3.0-r2. Mark it stable and I will. :) 1.2.5 is obsolete, try 1.3.0 instead Hmm, OK, I guess I don't quite understand the Gentoo philosophy on package maintenance, and I love Gentoo, so I would like to understand. I thought that since 1.2.5 is marked stable that it would matter that there are bugs in it. And that since it's marked stable, it's not obsolete for Gentoo. Otherwise you could call every stable package with a newer testing package available "obsolete". So why, in this case, don't you bump out a 1.2.5-r1 with a fixed script? (Unless you know that >1.2.5 is about to go stable any day now.) a little search turns out: bug #318209. Most of the time we consider a bug fixed when there is a version in tree greater than the one the bug is reported for. If you want the fix early, fill a stabilization request bug. |
