Fails to build with old setuptools. Should depend on a more recent version.

0.8.2 is currently the latest package from upstream. Could we alter this ticket to get that, or should I file a new one?

I'm very interested in seeing this included in portage ASAP however I'm not interested in being the sole maintainer for it. So if there are other Gentoo devs that want to step up and help maintain it with me I'd be willing to be a co-maintainer.
