Please do not CC Arches yourself, it's maintainer's call. Best regards, Kacper Kowalik It's in bad (probably for a reason). Do you have an special need for it ? OK. It's bad. But even bad is stable (at least 0.10.17). I think with this there is no (or less) need for ffmpeg dependency. Upstream states that the encoder is reasonably stable though the decoder might still be a little flaky. That said, I'm not completely against adding this, possibly with an ewarn about stability (could even be a general message in the -bad eclass). gstreamer: media-plugins/gst-plugins-xvid needs to arista stabilization ( bug 284545 ) I'have tested 0.10.19, are you agree to stabilize this version? No, 0.10.19 can not be stabilized without the rest of gst-plugins-bad-0.10.19 stuff. Your options are to go with 0.10.18, or wait for the whole gst-plugins-bad set to go stable. In case of the former I need to be aware to include the newer .19 version when stabilizing the rest of gst-plugins-bad stuff; and the latter should be happening quite soon now. Ok, why not make this a stable request conditional on 346981? The bug has the right dependency, so I vote for doing 0.10.19. Can you add arches please? Sure. x86/amd64, please go ahead with newstabling =media-plugins/gst-plugins-xvid-0.10.19 in order to be able to stabilize arista in bug 284545 x86 stable amd64 done |
