This fixes bug 310343, and I have local changes to fix bug 311771.  This is mostly a reminder as Luca needs to sort out some glitches for Python 3.

If a bump will be made, could someone check the HOMEPAGE variable?
The current one "http://gechi-overlay.sourceforge.net/?page=elogv" results in a page with the text "sorry, the page you request do not exist."
