version 0.7.2 works fine for me too (x86) This seems to be one of the more important plugins. Since we are stabilizing networkmanager-0.8 in bug 321593, let's go for this version here too. Does vpnc and openvpn plugins work, when they are installed simultaneously? (Blockers?) Does vpnc plugin work with USE=-gnone in nm-applet under kde? (In reply to comment #3) > Does vpnc and openvpn plugins work, when they are installed simultaneously? > (Blockers?) That is no problem. You can add vpn-connections using different clients (vpnc or openvpn in this case) via the vpn tab. > Does vpnc plugin work with USE=-gnone in nm-applet under kde? No. Same as with openvpn. If USE="-gnome" is set the "add" button in the vpn tab is disfuntional. It seems like USE="-gnome" makes this plugin useless und should be masked. I am using this plugin since several month without problems. Can we just mask the "-gnome" USE flag and go stable? Blocking bug 321593 is done for x86 and amd64. @steev+dagger: What do you think about removing the gnome use flag? Any progress on stabilization? vpnc and openvnp 0.8.2 work fine for me on x86 (wit +gnome, didn't test otherwise). Sorry, my previous comment was misleading. I have good experience with pptp and openvpn, but no experience with vpnc. Feel free to ignore, although the 3 plugins are similar in my opinion. net-misc/networkmanager-vpnc-0.9.4.0 was marked stable. |
