Bug 316917 – gnat-gcc-4.3.2 and 4.3.4 build fails during run of configure ("C compiler cannot create executables")

When emerging gnat-gcc (with emerge gnat-gcc) I get the following error during the configure run:

Because I've installed (and selected) GCC 4.3.4 I also tried gnat-gcc-4.3.4 but I get the same error.
