Thanks for the suggestion, assigning it to maintainers. Let me research it a little from a licensing and terms-of-service point of view before I give it any kind of official support. I agree that almost nobody uses the default maps, but for whatever reason they are the default. I may post a question on the EL forums to see if there are any strong opinions - in general Gentoo tries to play nice with upstream... At the very least the BS maps will need to have a redistribution license, or a stable place to obtain them from - that is purely a practical concern. This suggestion actually has come up before. I for one wouldn't mind having to deal with all the file collisions every time I update mine... :) Good work, Thx So far, there is also a sound pack available from the EL devs, but its a separte package, i have tried to put it into my el, but it doesnt work el. Ok, I did a quick check and sound and music seem to work fine. Did you emerge eternal-lands-data with the sound and music USE flags set? yes, i didnt see, that there was another package related to the game, sorry. These maps are working great. 6 weeks without any problems here. Also my old guild and my new guild, more than 100 people are using these maps on different platforms without problems. I hope they will be included soon. Ok, eternal-lands-data now takes USE flag bloodsuckermaps. Turn it on and it will install the maps. Enjoy! |
