hello,
with the actual cups version 1.3.11-r1 i can't print to printers, which automatic added from other printserver.

i have two cups-installations and a configuration to share the printers from one server to the other server. but the server on gentoo don't accept printjobs for this shared printers.

i search for configuration errors and find this:
i have deaktivated the publishing of the two local printers, because this are the same as two of the shared printers.
after this, i can't print to this printers.
i activate the publishing and i can print again to this printers, but i can't print to the shared printers, here is the publishing off and i can't activare it.

the second server is with cups 1.4.3 and on this system, i can print to the shared printer from other server on gentoo-linux.

please update cups as soon as possible to solve this problem.

lpr: The printer or class is not shared!

Do you still have this problem with cups 1.3.11-r4 or 1.4.6-r1 ?

No response for 6 months. Let's assume this is fixed in 1.4.
