A new release is available; however, upstream doesn't seem to be releasing new tarballs. I've packaged the 2.4.1 release which can be found at the site specified in attached patch. Note that a newer release (2.4.2) is also mentioned upstream, but the changes from 2.4.1 only affect Debian releases.

See the attached patch for a few minor ebuild changes. Note that the SRC_URI should be reverted to use the gentoo mirrors when the tarball is uploaded to Gentoo's distfiles infrastructure.

Ebuild updates for abcde-2.4.1:
  * Use EAPI 2 for src_prepare
  * Update SRC_URI --> this should be reverted to use the standard Gentoo mirrors once the tarball is uploaded to Gentoo infrastructure
  * Replace src_unpack with src_prepare
