I've got a saved query that is supposed to call up all bugs where my email address is any of reporter/cc/commenter (all of those fields)... but a bug where I am a commenter but had not added my name to the cc list is not showing up in that query. All bugs that I have either originated or added to the cc list do appear to show up in the query. Example: bug 31329 i am a commenter and nothing else for. doing a query for (check all email related boxes) scott@303underground.com does not include 31329.

works for me... There's actually two fields you have to fill in below those
checkboxes... one on the left and one on the right... I put your email in
the second box and looked for only commenter and found the bug 31329 in the
list

So, is the "commenter" checkbox on the left side even attached to anything?
If its not associated with the entry field on the left side, shouldn't that
checkbox not even be available on the left side of the list? This is probably
a more generic bugzilla complaint, but those two sets of fields and boxes
seem either redundant or ambiguous. Or if there is a good reason for the
way they are, its certainly not made obvious.
