the ebuild for tkdiff
Sorry. I don't have the capacity to deal with tcl and tk stuff anymore. Thanks for the ebuild, this is a handy program. I have a few comments: Instead
of dobin, have you considered using 'newbin ${WORKDIR}/tkdiff.tcl tkdiff',
a quick grep through portage shows that most tk programs installed in the
/usr/bin/ directory do not maintain the .tcl suffix. This program doesn't
look like it will have many version updates, but just in case, using SRC_URI="http://www.accurev.com/ftp/free/tkdiff/${P//[-.]/_}.zip"
will allow version bumps (i.e. if there is ever a tkdiff_3_10.zip). One thing
I wasn't able to figure out was how to enable a 3-way diff. The discription
claims it's supported, but I haven't managed to compare more than two files.

Changes -pad to -padx and -pady
Using tk-8.4.4 grid does not support the -pad option in all contexts. This
can
be reproduced when running 'tkdiff' without any parameters. This patches
tkdiff's offending grid calls to use the supported -padx and -pady instead.
Assigned to non-devs - reassigning so these may be noticed. tkdiff-4.0.2 in cvs. |
