That program has a menu item under Graphics (KDE 4.4.2) however it complains about a missing dependency (see attached screen shot).

How is that a bug? The message is telling you what to install, hugin, from a package provided by your distributor...

Well, if I've an icon in the KDE menu I'd expect that I can start it - or - that portage automatically resolved the dependency.
In all other cases I'd not expect an icon in the KDE start menu.

Fixed in kipi-plugins-1.2.0-r1 in the kde overlay
