build fails with the following messages:
checking for xmlto... /usr/bin/xmlto
configure: error: Manpage generating requested but xmlto not found.

After commenting out the Gentoo patch it built fine. Someone who knows what that patch was supposed to fix please redo it in a way that doesn't break the build.
