postfwd (short for Postfix Firewall Daemon) is a Postfix policy server that is written in Perl. It allows to define flexible and complex rules to block access to the mail system before the actual message has been accepted. The ruleset cnfiguration supports features like scoring, grouping, date and time based dependencies together with DNSBL lookups and policy delegation (e.g. postgrey).

This package is a nice and more powerful replacement for policyd-weight which is no longer maintained upstream afaik.

I also proxy-maintain net-misc/strongswan, so I'd volunteer to at least proxy-maintain this also if it hits the tree.

Forgot the following:

bug #222713 also deals w/ postfwd but hasn't been updated for almost a year, so I decided to _not_ hijack that bug (which would have caused chaos) and open a new bug about it. The bug #222713 author never submitted his ebuild to sunrise. Mine is not based on it but done from scratch. I hope it's okay the way I dealt with this. :-)

Please attach your files to the original bug. You can submit to sunrise regardless of who reported the bug.
