(I already posted the following issue to the bump request in Gentoo Bug #311243 a few days ago but as I can not reopen that fixed bug entry and maybe should not do that I create this new one.)
The razor 2.85 packages still contains the version string 2.84. Although this
is just a cosmetic issue it is quite confusing: Portage installs razor 2.85 but
razor and amavisd-new are talking about razor 2.84.
I attached a patch to Gentoo Bug #311243 [1] to fix that issue.

In future, please do not leave new patches on closed bugs. I very seldom look back at them. It should have been on a new bug in the first place.
