Hello!

If recordmydesktop is build without jack support, preferencies in Gtk-recordmydesktop wont open.

This also affects: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=292061

Ubuntu has it solved and patched, but maybe its stuck somewhere in upstream.

Errors from STDERR when launched via terminal are same for gentoo and ubuntu.

This bug prevents access to capture options.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. USE="-jack" emerge gtk-recordmydesktop
2. start gtk-recordmydesktop, preferably in terminal
3. click preferencies button and watch output

Modified gtk-recordmydesktop ebuild.

Same problem here, "Advanced" button doesn't work.
Just want to report that this patch is working for me, and I changed original gtk-recordmydesktop ebuild.

I'm new to Gentoo and ebuilds, so ebuild may not be perfect!
