Xorg.0.log
xsession-errors: gnome-settings-daemon: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0. ** Message: Got disconnected from the session message bus; retrying to reconnect every 10 seconds ** (evince:20727): WARNING **: Detected that GNOME screensaver has left the bus gnome-session: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0. xsession-errors (after Firefox crash): gnome-session: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0. ** Message: Got disconnected from the session message bus; retrying to reconnect every 10 seconds gnome-screensaver: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0. gnome-power-manager: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0. gnome-panel: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0. gnome-settings-daemon: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0. The log contains no indication that the X server crashed. Can you verify that it is actually the X server and not your gnome session which crashes? Also be aware that using ~arch xf86-video-intel with stable kernel is not a good idea. http://www.x.org/wiki/Development/Documentation/ServerDebugging explains how to attach gdb to the X server. Please reopen when you are able to attach a backtrace, after upgrading kernel to ~arch, or downgrading xf86-video-intel to stable. Upgrading the kernel to ~arch seems to have solved the problem. Thanks for your help (In reply to comment #5) > Please reopen when you are able to attach a backtrace, after upgrading kernel > to ~arch, or downgrading xf86-video-intel to stable. > |
