gmime-2.2 support was dropped by upstream (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=614025#c2) and, then, would be nice if it could be ported to gmime-2.4. 

I have found:

But I haven't found any bug report or mailing-list thread to follow upstream progress on this :-(

Trying to figure out - or just try out myself - if 2.4 works now or not .. i did see some other messages from last year in the mail archive about that ...

@pacho: I just wanted to add this ;)

So I mark it as resolved upstream since upstream will use newer gmime for newer versions. (3.0 already uses gmime 2.4 - I will have a look at 3.0 asap - could be a few days easily though)
