man 5 make.conf -> FEATURES="nodoc" USE="doc" controls doc generation deps, not docs itself Anyway.. most stuff there are html API docs and so on. Most users don't need API docs so imho a useflag would make sense. Samuli, I fixed this for my systems before opening bug:
cat /etc/portage/env/dev-cpp/gstreamermm
FEATURES="${FEATURES} nodoc"
>USE="doc" controls doc generation deps, not docs itself
You are wrong, read /usr/portage/profiles/use.desc:
euse -i doc
global use flags (searching: doc)
************************************************************
[- c ] doc - Adds extra documentation (API, Javadoc, etc)
...
Christian, hope, soon I will rm /etc/portage/env/dev-cpp/gstreamermm :)
