openvz-sources-2.6.32.1.1.ebuild
Existing openvz-sources-2.6.27.3.1.ebuild requires only minor modification, namely OVZ_CODENAME variable set to "afanasyev".
This kernel has quite some bugs, so I'd like to postpone bump.. Even hardmasked. But everybody are welcome to test it and report bugs upstream. Keeping this bug open to avoid duplicates. Fair enough. Thanks. released 2.6.32 kernel "atkov" http://wiki.openvz.org/Download/kernel/2.6.32/2.6.32-atkov.1 Thank you guys. I've added 2.6.32 masked to the tree. Try it and report found issues upstream. Anyone has some experience to share regarding upgrade of the (latest) 2.6.27 kernel to this one, a smooth ride, make oldconfig will work and do the trick etc.? I have my server co-located and would be nice to know if it's not even to think of trying to upgrade it remotely over ssh. Don't try to upgrade if you run OpenVPN or some combination of raid (e.g. raid10, raid50)... The first will crash your system and the latter your data. New release for 2.6.32: "avdeyev" http://wiki.openvz.org/Download/kernel/2.6.32/2.6.32-avdeyev.1 (In reply to comment #8) > New release for 2.6.32: "avdeyev" Jan, it is available in the tree since 28 Apr 2010... Also, please, don't report in closed bugs. If you think there is something to improve in Gentoo, please, open new bug. |
