libglade-convert is actually built when python with expat support is found, ths means you have to "emerge expat python" to get this. how does dev-python/PyXML handle this? I tried to emerge gnome 2.0.0 beta 5 and libglade failed, I checked the garnome site (gnome 2.0 build system) and it mentioned that you need Python XML support installed prior to building libglade otherwise it would fail with cannot execute libglade-convert. So I emerged PyXML and then went back to emerging gnome, and it worked. oh... okay, interesting note, thanks.. will look further at this okay, thanks, this solved some problems and is much appreciated. |
