Description Toralf Förster gentoo-dev 2010-03-17 08:55:20 UTC
If I run

$> autounmask --pretend media-libs/mesa-7.7.1_rc1

I get :
...
[blocks B     ] <x11-libs/libXext-1.0.99 ("<x11-libs/libXext-1.0.99" is blocking x11-proto/xextproto-7.1.1)
[blocks B     ] <x11-base/xorg-server-1.7 ("<x11-base/xorg-server-1.7" is blocking media-libs/mesa-7.7.1_rc1)

however using the keywords from Mike Hunt (http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?p=6208385#6208385) there's away to unstable mesa.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
I'd expect that autounmaks is able to do this too w/o manually intervention.

Similar happens with kde -4.4.2, a
$> autounmask kde-base/kdebase-meta-4.4.2

gives something like:
...
   ('installed', '/', 'kde-base/libknotificationitem-4.3.5', 'nomerge') pulled in by
    >=kde-base/libknotificationitem-4.3.5[-kdeprefix,-aqua] required by ('installed', '/', 'kde-base/kdeplasma-addons-4.3.5', 'nomerge')
...
