The compilation aborts with the build process complaining about linux/autoconf.h not being found. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install and boot linux-2.6.33 2. emerge =app-emulation/virtualbox-modules-3.{0.12,1.0} Actual Results: build fails with an error about linux/autoconf.h not being found Expected Results: emerge should abort, informing about kernel version mismatch A check for linux-2.6.33 or higher in the virtualbox-modules ebuilds 3.0.12 and 3.1.0 should suffice. In the changelog on the virtualbox homepage I could find that an incompatability with linux-2.6.32 was fixed in 3.1.4, but apperantly 3.1.2 also works with linux-2.6.33. I have not yet tried 2.6.32 though, maybe someone who has it installed anyway would like to do so.
