all three fluxbox versions normally get bsetroot from commonbox-tools. Because there is no "bsetroot" in commonbox-tools version 0.5 (which is stable and current now), fluxbox does not get bsetroot. Solution: depend on version 0.4 or compile bsetroot. In the 0.9.6-ebuild it says: sed -i -e 's:bsetroot.1::' ${S}/doc/Makefile.am sed -i -e 's:bsetroot::' ${S}/util/Makefile.* You could remove these lines, but I am not sure about the older fluxbox-versions. PS: Yes, I know bsetroot is old. But if fluxbox needs it, it should get it (or fluxbox itself should be fixed).
