media-libs/tiff-3.9.2-r1 fails to build on sparc-solaris with the dreaded symbol versioning error



Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge media-libs/tiff
Actual Results:  
/home/pub/lib/gentoo-prefix/usr/lib/gcc/sparc-sun-solaris2.10/4.3.2/../../../../sparc-sun-solaris2.10/bin/ld: ../libtiff/.libs/libtiff.so: _etext: invalid version 32225 (max 0)

../libtiff/.libs/libtiff.so: could not read symbols: Bad value

Expected Results:  
build successfully

Building with Sun ld also fails:
ld: fatal: relocation error: R_SPARC_DISP32: file .libs/tif_stream.o: symbol DW.ref.__gxx_personality_v0: offset 0x7f50216a is non-aligned

However this gets far enough to let GNU ld compile the rest using FEATURES="keepwork". Not a good workaround though.
