Bug 307087 – games-arcade/late-0.1.0 was broken by the upgrade to media-libs/jpeg-8

The game "late" does not start any longer because of an unresolved dependency to libjpeg.so.7 . Revdep-rebuild does not find anything wrong with it though, and re-emerging late does not fix the problem. (Re-emerging is successful but the error persists.)
Exact error message:
$ late
Couldn't load menu.jpg: Failed loading libjpeg.so.7: libjpeg.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Segmentation fault


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. late
2.
3.

Actual Results:  
Black fullscreen for a split second and then the error message appears in the terminal.

Expected Results:  
Should start the game late.

Confirmed duplicate. The bug can be fixed by

emerge -1 sdl-image
