Description Timothy M. Shead 2003-10-08 01:42:51 UTC
I've been using Sawfish instead of Metacity as my window manager, without trouble.
Starting after emerging Gnome 2.4 stable yesterday, clicking in the Gnome pager
applet to switch from one workspace to another causes Sawfish-managed windows to
change position at random.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run Gnome 2.4.
2. Use Sawfish 1.3 instead of Metacity.
3. Configure two workspaces using Sawfish control panel.
4. Add Gnome pager applet to a Gnome panel.
5. Beginning with workspace "a", open a Gnome terminal window.
6. Click on the Gnome pager applet to switch to workspace "b".
7. Click on the Gnome pager applet to switch back to workspace "a".
8. Terminal window is no longer in its original position.
Actual Results:
Windows change position at random (sometimes all the way off-screen).

Expected Results:
Windows stay put.

I have verified that applying the patch included in the above bug report to the
x11-libs/libwnck-2.4.0.1 package resolves this problem.
