![]() What I usually do is choosing "Kill core" from the File menu before shutting
down the frontend.
In case of need, mldonkey can also be closed cleanly by telnet:
#telnet localhost 4000
>kill
However, mldonkey (mlnet) _is_ a deamon and it makes sense it has this behaviour.

Yes, I am aware that it is a deamon. But if mldonkey can start a deamon then it should also be able to stop it. Nice and clean :) how about /etc/init.d/mldonkey start|stop? Mldonkey only a script that starts the mlnet deamon. What I think is needed is a way to shut both the mlnet deamon and the mldonkey app down at the same time. not a bug, but a feature! you can stop mldonkey via init script, killall or the gui. |
