Please move gentoo-sources-2.6.31-r10 back to unstable on x86 - ext4 fails to mount rw during boot if CONFIG_LBDAF is not set.

That is not a bug. It is as designed and not a reason to not stable x86 or any arch.

The ext4 filesystem requires that this feature be enabled in order to support filesystems that have the huge_file feature enabled. Otherwise, it will refuse to mount in the read-write mode any filesystems that use the huge_file feature, which is enabled by default by mke2fs.ext4.

I.e., if I'll recreate my ext4 partition with this feature disabled, that will solve this problem?
Comment 8 Markos Chandras (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-03-11 18:32:38 UTC
