Please, rebuild xorg with debugging symbols and create new backtrace: http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/qa/backtraces.xml Also Xorg.?.log could be also useful. Other info that might be handy is /var/log/kdm.log to see if a KDE application is triggering something in X. Or does this error not happen on other window managers?
