From the ChangeLog: 22 Sep 2003; <spider@gentoo.org> gnome-panel-2.4.0-r1.ebuild, files/menu-2.4.0.patch: Added the gentoo menu patch, and got the fix for the default panel right this time. The "menu" USE variable is eventually intended to be used with the common menu system outlined in GLEP #16: http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/glep/glep-0016.html. The "menu" USE is not official yet, but it's proposed to become official. we might as well disable it for now, it's useless atm anyway. Should discuss it with lanius first though. lanius can you please have a look at this ? can we disable the menu USE'ing and patching for now, until it becomes 'official' ? thanks. yeah, remove it for now thanks lanius, it's just commented out for the moment. |
