Also confirm that upstream versions build OK with the usual configure/make/make install -- in my case I pulled and built version 4.2.4. I also confirm. I've had this on my system for a while, and now suddenly revdep-rebuild chokes on it. This is going to be a pileup fairly quickly, I fear. ping. we need 4.2.2 now for libpng14. I would really prefer for the time being, to delete the old plt versions and let only the 4.2.2 with ~arch keywords(meaning to drop stable support). I'm working on a new 4.2.5 ebuild for some time now(it lives in the lisp overlay), but won't be able to really finish my work until early June. Also, plt people are going to rename the package from plt-scheme to plt-racket or racket, in their new release version(I expect this to be late June). The 4.2.2 ebuild is not well tested to match QA standards(it has many *many* bundled libraries, something that cannot be fixed with a simple solution). @ssuominen: are you ok if we just drop at all stable keywords for now? (In reply to comment #5) > @ssuominen: are you ok if we just drop at all stable keywords for now? i'm fine with it, everything older than 4.2.2 should be wiped from portage. but there's reverse dependencies in "swig" and "slatex" you need to take into account. I'm sorry to do this, but: ping I dropped stable keywords in plt-scheme at all, removing all versions <4.2.2. This bug will be resolved as WONTFIX. Maybe in some months we will port and stabilize plt-scheme's successor, code named "racket". |
