This turns out to be a problem caused by Ruby 1.9 being eselected, when it should be 1.8. I know damn well that I used eselect already to select 1.8 because of similar problems I've had before, and I didn't set it back. So something is screwing with my eselect settings. Can you please double-check with the latest vim-7.2.416, after ensuring that eselect has the proper ruby version selected? It's fine with Ruby 1.8. Is there any priority to dealing with incompatibilities with 1.9, or do you treat these as invalid? Closing since I can't reproduce this bug with ruby-1.9.2 and the latest stable vim-7.2.442 or latest testing vim-7.3 releases. |
