I solved it. I have also problem with k3b and somebody recommended to recompile hal with USE="policykit". Now it works perfectly. Due to this bug I was able to solve my own battery-indicator. Unfortunately the description of the policykit use flag doesn't indicate any relation to battery information AFAICS. |
Hi, I have no idea if this is gentoo problem. But since i upgraded my system (i made in one piece so i can't figure out if problem is in kernel or KDE) I can't see my battery state in battery monitor widget. It says battery not present. I'm running KDE 4.3.5, kernel 2.6.32-gentoo-r3 and every acpi and hal information about battery are right. Maybe there can be problem with two directories in /proc/acpi/battery/ (BAT0, BAT1) BAT1 is not present. $cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state present: yes capacity state: ok charging state: charged
