I've got an updated gentoo (KEYWORDS="x86").

If I start gqview-1.3.2 from any KDE virtual desktop beyond the first, i.e. from
konsole or from a quickbar shortcut, its window is opened in the first desktop 
instead of the one I'm in. If I right-click on its caption, "Desktop 1" is checked.
If I open it a second time while the first is still running, it opens in the correct 
desktop with caption "gqview <2>".

Note that other gnome applications, like gedit or gimp, work well.

Would recommend you file this with the KDE folks (bugs.kde.org).  Not anything
I can fix on the Gentoo end; sorry.
