Please mark sdlmame-0.136.ebuild stable.
Comment 1 Joe Jezak (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2010-02-10 06:46:36 UTC
The build dies on ppc with:

src/tools/unidasm.c:296: error: 'cpu_disassemble_powerpc' undeclared here (not in a function)

I'll have to look into it when I have more time, sorry.

Builds and runs well on amd64.

Btw, there are some major changes in how sdlmame is packaged beginning with 0.136u1. Details here:
http://rbelmont.mameworld.info/?p=519

The short version is that sdlmame is being moved into the main MAME distribution. So, the package will need to be pulled from mamedev.org, and will need to be compiled using their method rather than whatever was done previously with sdlmame. It's also switching from C to C++, which may present some different challenges.

Just wanted to give the maintainer a heads up. I might try playing with 0.136u3 when I get some time and see if I can get a working ebuild. At the least I hope it'll give us a head start on the process rather than waiting until 0.137 hits and starting fresh.
