i've built both -9999 and -0.9.11-r1 successfully.  

when i try to start i just get:
"unknown chip id 0x95c5, can't guess.
unknown chip id 0x95c5, can't guess.
unknown chip id 0x95c5, can't guess.
ERROR: Unable to create application. Exiting"

i have an ati radeon HD.  i'm assuming that's what the unknown chip stuff is from, and from openGL.   openGL works fine, as in mplayer and xscreensaver.

any ideas

might want to post your exact info to the upstream tracker.  you should include the exact specs on your card and the drivers you're using.

which upstream?  xbmc?  openGL?
i did, they just say they don't support gentoo.

i'm using a radeonHD 3450 
i'm using the radeon xorg driver.
