gplflash is for flash <=4 only, netscap-flash can AFAIk handle all flash versions. Because of this, we yesterday added a block to the ebuilds. emerge -C gplflash Was this resolution something that I should've been able to find without opening a bug ticket? If so where specifically is this kindof info posted. I searched everywhere it seemed and couldn't find anything close except the two other bug # references. Thanks, Joshua Banks the answer is 'common sense' ... if 2 packages block each other then there is a reason for it ... specifically, they cannot exist simultaneously on your system ... so either unmerge them or stop trying to do whatever you're trying to do ;) |
