Bug 302833 – [kde-overlay] konqueror 4.3.95 hangs on web pages with high CPU usage

After updating to KDE SC 4.4 RC2 (4.3.95) konqueror hangs randomly but reliably on web pages. When it happens, konqueror hangs and doesn't show the requested page. Also any other konqueror instances aren't able to load and show web pages. The affected konqueror process takes most of the available CPU time.
Quiting konqueror doesn't work. The windows disappears but the process alives. I can kill it whit SIGTERM. On next start, it tries to recover from unexpected shutdown.
To be sure nothing went wrong on update, I'v rebuild the whole dependency-tree for konqueror (emerge -e konqueror), but it didn't helped.

Does it crash when you dont have flash?

No, I dosn't have kde-base/nsplugins installed at all. Will try with kde-base/nsplugins but plugins deactivated.

Should be "I don't have kde-base/nsplugins installed".

No, installing kde-base/nsplugins didn't help. Plugins are all disabled and konqueror still hangs randomly on webpages. Until I kill the process, no konqueror process is able to load any pages.

Ah its this bug. I have it too. It sometimes hangs whole X, so consider yourself to be lucky that it needs only konq kill :]

I was unable to reproduce it reliably so i would recommend you to open bug on bugs.kde.org or as on #kde over irc.

I have to correct this. Only the one process is affected that produces the high CPU load. New started konquerors do work. Hanging other processes than konqueror didn't happen to me. So I'm unsure if this is the same bug.
