If you use xrandr-1.2 it'll work just fine, that's the setup I'm running. Please describe what your real problem is. The error message is pretty clear. If you want DRI, use xrandr. (Unless you have 2 GPUs ?) In any case, that's an upstream issue, not something we can fix. If you have any issues setting up xrandr, please don't hesitate to reopen this bug and we'll help you out. Thanks The problem is I've intentionally stayed with xorg-server-1.5 (xrandr 1.2) hoping that this issue would be resolved upstream before 1.5 was masked. If I upgrade to xorg-server-1.6 (xrandr 1.3), I'll lose DRI. So yes, the problem can only be resolved upstream. I just wanted to record this to note that ATI users will regress (i.e. lose DRI) when they upgrade to xorg-server-1.6. |
