Screen shot of issue
emerge --info please I remembered just now that I had disabled the networkmanager use flag for firefox and xulrunner because I didn't see the point of pulling in new dependencies. I tried rebuilding both packages with networkmanager enabled and Firefox works now, so it appears that the issue is limited to building with -networkmanager. please post the output of emerge --info www-client/mozilla-firefox hoth ~ # emerge --info www-client/mozilla-firefox Portage 2.1.6.13 (default/linux/amd64/10.0/desktop, gcc-4.3.4, glibc-2.10.1-r1, 2.6.32-gentoo-r2 x86_64) setup seems to require xul-runner with networkmanager turned on. i don't see the point of this requirement either. there must be some widgit in new firefox using the networkmanager stuff?? i was going to post another bug about not requiring networkmanager in xulrunner for firefox-3.6 but i guess i'll just see what comes of this bug and install this dep anyway even though this machine is permanently tethered. I think networkmanager USE flag was recently swapped for wifi. For lost tabs I suggest "session manager" addon. It's on my must have list. With this addon, you will NEVER loose opened tabs. Workes perfectly since pre-3.0 days. Feel free to reopen bug if problem is still their with the needed info. |
