cpufreq-set -g powersave leads system to segmentation faults.
Hardware:
MB: Epox 8RDA3+
CPU: Athlon XP 3200+ (Barton core)
RAM: 2*512 + 1024 Mb (dual-channel mode)
CPU ACPI in kernel is turned on, powersave and performance governors too.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge cpufrequtils
2.cpufreq-set -g powersave


Actual Results:  
Some exetuted applications crashes because of segmentation faults.

This looks like hardware issue (we can do nothing here).

Please get back to us (also try with a newer kernel like 2.6.32 or 2.6.33)
